So while Liam, my roommate-slash-travel buddy, and I were driving in search for that banana ketchup and having a hard time parking, we passed by White Castle in Jefferson Boulevard. And guess what, several available slots to park! So we decided, since I've been only to White Castle once before, to take advantage of the parking that we boughr some White Castle meals and left the bag near the windshield that way we didn't get tow! The car park is for "paying" White Castle customers only. But since we have a bag filled with White Castle sliders, we felt that we could get away with it, and walk a block to get that banana ketchup.
And yes we did! We ended up heading to Phil-Am Food, a grocery exclusively selling foodstuff from the Philippines. And boy, I hoarded. We bought about four bottles of the banana ketchup, a popular Philippine soy sauce, several powders to use for various Filipino table staples, freshly made lumpia, and a 3-in-1 coffee that made me feel nostalgic. It's KOPIKO!
After about an hour of leaving my car in the White Castle parking lot, lo and behold, it was still there. So it worked! Free parking for about $10-15 of White Castle sliders and two large drinks! That don't beat the price compared to paying for that parking meters that you can hardly ever find unless it was your lucky day.
