Restaurant.com recently had a BOGO offer, meaning buy one gift certificate and get another. This promo also had most GCs at 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost, that one pizzeria's $10 GC was worth only $4. Since my roommates and I frequent a local pizza place, I decided to buy 4 of those, plus 2 for a sushi restaurant and 1 for a pub. All in all, I paid just $28. And lo and behold, within 24 hours I received the "get one" counterparts totaling $80!
Restaurant.com, however, has terms and conditions for your GC to be eligible. And quoting the ones I got, it generally include the following:
- Only one (1) Restaurant-specific Gift Certificate may be redeemed per party, per month, per restaurant, even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or receives more than one check.
- Not valid for taxes, tip, merchandise or prior balances
- Valid at this restaurant only
- Cannot be combined with any other promotions, coupons or special offers.
Also, come to think of it, the GCs you have gives you at minimum 50% off your total bill, that if you have a $10 GC, you at least have to spend $20 at the restaurant, $15 for 30, and so on, for it to be eligible. It is still a good way of getting discounts for your meal, checking a new restaurant out, and of course using your dining restaurant/rewards credit cards for future travels. And don't forget to utilize the topcashback.com portal for restaurant.com purchases for added savings!
