Suffice it to say, it was my first AirBNB experience. I have known of this service for years now but haven't jumped in and joined the bandwagon, always booking hotels and hostels in all of my travels. But after this first foray into the AirBNB world, I think I had a change of heart.
The place my friend got was a full entire house with three bed rooms and two full baths. It has a back deck perfect for barbecuing and a backyard to boot. We had full access to all the amenities, from the living room, the kitchen, even the unopened drinks and alcohols previous AirBNBers left. It was perfectly situated--about a 10 minute drive to Richmond, VA but still felt like the idyllic rural setting for a needed weekend getaway.
As my friend booked the place with yours truly footing half of the bill, I never got in touch or saw the host of the place. But I heard they were truly accommodating. For a whole house with amenities and the price comparable, if not more affordable, than a hotel stay, surely an AirBNB will be a possible reservation go-to in the future.
And oh, yeah! My goddaughter won the National Finals!
