One of the things to do while in Punta Cana is to take advantage of the many watersports and rides like jet skiing, kayaking, banana boat riding, and parasailing. For my birthday, I chose the latter, where you get strapped to a parachute while up in the air for 500 feet and pulled by an engine-powered boat.
The view was fantastic, the water below your feet turquoise clear, up in the air with the breeze, just chillaxing fun. It would have been nice if everything was documented either through photos or videos. On the ride from the shore to the other boat where the parasailing was to take place, I had a Nikon DSLR with me, but I felt that it might fall, so I kept it secured. I was only able to take a picture of it before getting strapped to the chute.
I felt so bad after that when I got back from the vacation I decided to get a GoPro so as not to miss opportunities like that. And yes, another parasailing post will make its way into this website, one with photos and videos to boot! Good thing a friend by the shore was able to take a snap from afar.
